‘Cosmic Club’ at La Fleche D’Or, a monthly club night which attracts over a thousand Parisians. It was packed early-on for live sets from four bands including the Clerks and the Bureau. The Clerks were being filmed for MTV Europe, and two weeks after the gig Bureau announced a name change to ‘Daggers’. I played bang in the middle of the night, mixing up stuff like ‘Young Folks’, and ‘Ice Ceam’ with the Chemical Brothers, Nirvana, and New Order. The audience loved it, and invaded the stage. The security had to put crash barriers around the decks to stop the stage invaders falling onto the decks. Hardrock Striker from Skylax Records followed me, and then a young DJ called Mikhail making his big club debut. This ‘soiree Indie Rock Electro House’ was more than a little bit magnifique…
